One of the things The Value Companion team knew we wanted with was the ability to track a short list of stocks that we had our eyes on and may be interested in, or had even invested in. Enter the portfolio feature.

The Value Companion adds a portfolio to each account, to which you can add or remove specific stocks so that you can track your shortlist and more easily see how those stocks stand up to your criteria. The portfolio page adds a quick overview of each stock in the portfolio.

Maybe most importantly regarding the portfolio feature is that it integrates with the notifications feature, and notifications will detail which stocks in your portfolio do and don’t meet your criteria – so once you add stocks to your portfolio you don’t even need to login and you’ll get updates on if it still meets your base standards. We firmly believe in building a tool to make our life easier, and getting updates on our portfolio without needing to login is one less step we have to take to get a quick overview on where stocks stand, and something we found we have relied on more than we thought we would.
